Stamped Concrete Driveway
Overall Difficulty of Project
The answer was a beautiful, eye-catching, stained and stamped concrete driveway with integrated sidewalk to the front door and a new municipal sidewalk in front.
The original driveway only extended out as far as the opening of the garage doors, so we decided to widen the driveway. By widening the drive to the exterior width of the garage, the drive now frames the house better, feels more substantial, and allows for two cars to park in the driveway side by side. No more chasing down your spouse or kids because their car is blocking you in.
Next we poured an exposed aggregate border using Old Monroe stone. We incorporated the colors in the aggregate with the colors we used in the squares. These squares are stamped with seamless patterns to approximate pieces of stone.
We also installed a new traditional concrete approach from the street to the driveway, matching the exact design of the county-installed sidewalk for continuity.
Lastly, we connected the front of the house to the new driveway with an attractive curved walkway in a matching color. Very nice.
This driveway has our premium sealer to bring out all the color in the stamping and exposed stone, and of course for protecting the homeowners’ investment from Missouri’s wide weather fluctuations.
